Owasso Tree & Berry Farm for years grew their landscape trees in the ground. When it came time for harvesting the trees, it seemed to always be a struggle.
It was either too hot, too dry, too cold,
or if conditions were favorable the tree diggers were too busy elsewhere. In 2000 we moved from growing our trees in the ground to growing in containers. Trees grown in the ground, when dug loose 80%-85% of the root systems as it is cut
off and left in the ground. Trees grown in containers have all the roots still intact when purchased. Our 15 Gal. size container allows the tree to still grow to a nice size tree yet still allow the home owner to handle it if he
wishes to plant it himself.

Our trees are grown in a fabric container where we can control:
- Growing Media - Can vary from species to species
- Moisture
- Fertilizer
- Root structure - Roots growing in a fabric container become tangled in the fabric therefore the tree will prune itself and form a very fiberous root structure behind the prune, also eliminating root circling in the container.

The 30+ varieties we are growing are proven Oklahoma worthy, consisting of large shade trees to flowering ornamental. We continue to add a few more exotic varieties each year. Our selection will vary a bit each fall as new varieties become available.
Planting Instructions:
When planting trees, dig a hole 12-13" deep (For 15 Gal. fabric containers) and 2-3 times larger than root ball. Remove fabric container from roots. Insert tree in hole, holding 1-2" above soil levels. Put soil back around tree, settling with garden hose. Tree should have 3-4" of mulch (wood chips, etc.) to cover planting hole to help control moisture and temperature.
Under some conditions trees may need to be staked.
